The challenge of the second chakra is to expand, to create, to bond and connect with other living beings.

The natural feeling at the sex chakra is expansive, dynamic, flowing spiral vortex energy. The essence power of an alive second chakra is expansion and freedom.

This chakra is associated with the parts of the consciousness concerned with food and sex. It is about the body’s communication to the Being inside, about what the body wants and needs, and what it finds pleasurable. The person’s ability to have children is also associated with this chakra.

This chakra also relates to the emotional body, and the person’s willingness to feel their emotions.

When our energy feels fluid and unencumbered, we unconditionally accept ourselves, we know we are worthy of love, we feel safe to reach out and merge with others, and we spontaneously delight in our creative endeavors.

The second chakra influences the nervous system and the temperature of the organism. It contributes to the perfect harmony of the body, the mind and the emotions.

Malfunctioning of the sex chakra may result in hysteria, or a search for experiences of intense pleasure or pain.
